Getting a Grip on Exploratory Testing - January 2012

This three-day hands-on class will be delivered in central Oxford by James Lyndsay. Techniques class size is limited to 12 people, management class to 15. Price £1170 per person.

Course description

An interactive tutorial introducing delegates to a wide variety of approaches to exploratory testing – systematic exploration, selecting triggers and fine-tuning observations, modelling for success and failure, questioning, attacks and exploitations. Discussions cover ways of getting the best out of time spent exploring, good and bad choices for exploration, and approaches to managing exploration and diagnosis. Most exercises are software-based (using Workroom Productions’ custom-built “Black Box” machines in Flash), and delegates are encouraged to download exercises before the tutorial, and bring their laptops.

This is a rare opportunity to take this course in the UK, as it is typically customised and taught on-site. Corporate clients include Nokia, Google, TCL, Thomson Financial.
